for all your sewing needs...
Furniture isn't made to last several generations like it used to be. Our furniture team can up-cycle your vintage furniture and give it a clean, fresh look. Keep that family heirloom in the family and out of the landfill by giving it a new finish or a new purpose in your home.
Everlasting Threads can handle all of your furniture up-cycling and upholstery needs. We can repair and recover your Grandma's favorite chair to new condition, reupholster your living room set so that it doesn't end up in the land fills, recover your dining room chairs, and update that old wingback chair with a touch of modern flare.
During the estimate process, we can assist you in determining the type and amount of fabric and materials to purchase. We also have a local supplier with thousands of upholstery fabrics to choose from. Up to 4 samples can be provided free of charge for each project. Before purchasing your own upholstery fabric, contact the Everlasting Threads Upholstery Team for assistance in fabric choices and quality. Clients who purchase their own fabric, do so at their own risk, with no quality guarantee from Everlasting Threads.
Send us a picture of that old chair that has been sitting in the garage because the seat fabric is torn and the spring is broken. We can give you an estimate on re-upholstery, load the chair up, and return it to you when the work is finished.
We strip old fabric from the furniture, replace cushions as needed, create a pattern from the old fabric pieces, and reupholster the piece from scratch. Please note, some older pieces of furniture have several layers of fabric. It is our policy to remove all old fabric. An estimated completion date will be provided at the time of scheduling, but it is not a guarantee. Upholstery projects have a separate queue and do not interfere with other project completion times.
If a seam ever pops, or buttons ever come off, we will re-sew free of charge. All wood pieces on furniture will be polished with Liquid Gold unless client specifically requests another brand of furniture polish.
Custom painting also available.
Unused client materials and old fabric are always returned at delivery.
We offer pickup of materials and delivery of finished projects in the greater Kansas City Metro area.
Slip covers are another option for recovering furniture. We can create custom slipcovers with zippers and reinforced seams that will last for years.
